You might be wondering—why is a Persian cook serving Swedish fika? 

Well, food has no borders, and my journey has taken me from the rich flavors of Persian cuisine to the heartwarming traditions of Swedish culture.

As someone who has lived in Sweden for over 20 years, I’ve fallen in love with the Swedish concept of fika—a moment to slow down, enjoy good company, and savoir something sweet with a cup of coffee. In many ways, it reminds me of Persian hospitality, where sharing tea and pastries is also a way of bringing people together.

At my fika stall, , combine the best of both worlds: classic Swedish treats like kanelbullar (cinnamon buns) and chokladbollar (chocolate oat balls) while adding a touch of Persian inspiration. Maybe you’ll even find a fika treat infused with saffron, rosewater, or pistachios—Persian flavours that blend beautifully with Swedish traditions.
